The Roadmap Development service transitions our process from Discovery to Preparation. It is made up of five workshops with the company's leadership team, typically held over the course of five weeks. It results in a comprehensive plan for improving how the business operates, its readiness for the owner's exit, and its value.
Before the Vision Workshop, leaders should review the owner's vision for the business (both pre- and post-exit), the company's mission/purpose, and the company's core values. These will frame the discussion and decisions within the workshop. In the workshop, the entire leadership team will engage in defining a common long-term (5 to 10-year) vision for the business, agree upon 3-5 year goals/targets, and identify the key capabilities that will required to accomplish the vision, goals, and targets.

In this workshop, we develop the list of initiatives required to accomplish our 3-5 year goals and move towards the long term vision. We uncover dependencies and debate prioritization towards developing a prioritized master list of initiatives.

In the Sequencing Workshop, we move from the 3-5 year perspective down to planning for the next 3-12 months. We identify an overarching theme for the coming year, set 12-month goals, identify key metrics to track, and develop a sequenced list of 15-20 initiatives to pursue over the next four quarters.
The Accountability Workshop focuses on the next 90 days. Specific initiatives are selected. An owner for each initiative is identified. Goals and objectives are set for each initiative. Monthly accountability meetings are scheduled.
